LANSING, Mich. — The city of Lansing Public Service Department announces that Mount Hope Avenue from Moores River Drive to Pleasant Grove Road will be closed for road construction.
The closure will begin on Thursday, Aug. 8 with construction anticipated to take two to three weeks.
The detour for westbound Mount Hope Avenue will be:
South on Pleasant Grove Road to Holmes Road, west on Holmes Road to Waverly Road, then north on Waverly Road to return to Moores River Drive (Mount Hope Avenue).
The detour for eastbound Mount Hope Avenue will be:
South on Waverly Road to Holmes Road, east on Holmes Road to Pleasant Grove Road, then north on Pleasant Grove Road to return to Mount Hope Avenue.
Access to local businesses and residents in this area will be maintained and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
