LANSING, Mich. — A portion of Collins Road has been closed.
The City of Lansing Public Service Department announced that Collins Road between Dunckel Road and Jolly Road, north of USPS Driveway, is closed.
The portion of the road closed at 7 a.m. Monday to accommodate a water main installation to the ongoing construction project.
The road will reopen and be available to motorists during water service quality testing.
The detour for southbound Collins Road traffic will be: West/south on Dunckel Road to Jolly Road, east on Jolly Road to return to Collins Road.
The detour for northbound Collins Road traffic will be: West on Jolly Road to Dunckel Road, north/east on Dunckel Road to return to Collins Road.
Access to businesses in the area will be maintained and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
The road is expected to reopen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
