LANSING, Mich. — Lansing police say a deadly shooting on Lansing's southwest side on Thursday was not a random act.
Police say that when they got to the scene, there were three women, two with gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital where one is still recovering
Lansing police are looking for a suspect in the shooting that killed one of the women.
Police have identified her as 19-year-old Lansing woman, Hanna Barron.
"That really breaks my heart. That's the fourth of five people that have taken the bullet in this area. It's a sad situation and my heart goes out to them and the family of these area. They really do care out here, it is a tragedy to them just as well," said one neighbor.
Police are looking for a suspect they describe as an African American male in his late teens or early 20s. He is of average height, thin build, medium complexion and was wearing dark clothing, according to a press release.
The shooting happened at around 3:45 p.m. in the 3900 block of Burneway Drive at Woodside Meadows.
Lansing Police crime scene officers, Lansing detectives, along with the Michigan State Police are currently investigating this case.
