EAST LANSING, Mich. — East Lansing police say they are questioning a man matching the description of a suspect wanted for assault and robbery.
Police say they were called to 25 East apartment complex on Abbot Road, just south of Lake Lansing Road, around 6 a.m. Friday.
According to police, three woman who lived there say they were sexually assaulted by a man who had a gun.
Police say the man also stole various electronics from the apartment.
The three women received medical attention for non-life threatening injuries.
The apartment was not believed to have been locked.
The apartment complex told Fox 47 they were alerting residents of the assault and reminding them the importance of locking doors and staying alert.
There will be counselors available at the complex for those that need it.
It is still unclear whether the women knew the suspect.
The suspect was taken into custody around one Friday afternoon.
His name has not been released until he is formally charged.
His arraignment is expected to take place this weekend.
