Authorities are trying to track down the driver who led them on a high speed chase throughout several Mid-Michigan Communities.
It started around 12:40 a.m. in Delhi Township, when an Ingham County Sheriff's Deputy tried to pull over the vehicle for a broken tail light on Aurelius Road near Garden Gate Drive. The male driver refused to pull over, and the deputy gave chase, with speeds reportedly reaching more than 100 miles per hour.
Deputies continued to follow the vehicle through parts of South Lansing, before it crashed into a light pole on West Jolly Road near the intersection of Waverly Road in Eaton County.
After the crash, the driver fled on foot. Deputies brought in a K-9 in an effort to track him down, but the search was not successful.
The car was not stolen, but Deputies are unsure if the owner of the vehicle was the person behind the wheel. A description of the driver has not been released.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Department is assisting the Ingham County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
