LANSING, Mich. — Police are looking for a suspect after shots were fired early Monday morning at a home in the 1000 block of North Jenison on Lansing's west side.
Police say when they arrived at the home to serve a warrant and arrest a man, they were approached by a dog.
Officers then opened fire, missing the animal.
It's unclear if the suspect escaped or was ever in the home.
Police didn't say what the arrest warrant was for, but stress the man is not a threat to the public.
