Police looking for man suspected in attempted child abduction

Mason Police Department are looking for a man who could be suspected to be involved in a reported attempted child abduction.

Mason Police Department Officers received the report on January 1, 2017. The intended victim was a four-year-old girl who answered a knock at the door of her family's home.

The suspect asked the child to come help him find his missing daughter who he said hadn't come home. The child's older sibling heard the conversation and saw the suspect get into a light blue minivan, driven by a woman. The vehicle left the area without the child. The children told their mother what happened, when she arrived home later.

The suspect was reported to be a white male, approximately six feet tall, between 20 and 30 years old with a scruffy, unshaven face. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. The incident remains an open investigation.
