Police are trying to identify a man who fled police in Ionia on a motorcycle over the weekend.
Officers with the Ionia Department of Public Safety attempted to stop a motorcycle in the city around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The department reports the motorcyclist failed to yield and officers pursued the suspect through the city. The chase was eventually terminated and police are still looking for the suspect.
The motorcyclist was last seen going west on Main Street towards Bluewater Highway (M-21).
The suspect is a male, and was wearing a yellow sweatshirt with a “W” on the back. He also had black pants and was driving a black café style motorcycle with a silver, gray or white helmet.
The license plate on the motorcycle appeared to be painted black.
