A man from Lansing is being charged with murder after police said he stabbed a woman he was in a relationship with.
At 1:22 PM Friday, the Lansing Police Department responded to a home in the 1500 block of Massachusetts Ave. to assist the Lansing Fire Department on a medical call.
When officers arrived, they found 55-year-old Ray Anthony Coleman inside the home as well as 47-year-old Donna Louise Colen of Lansing who was unresponsive. Colen was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Coleman was taken into custody and was considered a person of interest.
In a press release Sunday afternoon, police said Colen was stabbed by Coleman, and they were in a relationship.
Coleman's Preliminary Exam hearing with Judge Deluca is scheduled for Nov. 21st at 9 AM.
