A Kentwood Police Officer shot and killed a murder suspect late last night.
Officers were first called to a domestic situation.
When they got to the apartment, they found a woman who had been stabbed to death.
Police say the suspect fled- but they followed his footprints in the snow. When officers tried to arrest the man, he pulled a knife and threatened them.
Police are not saying how many shots were fired- but the man died at a local hospital.
The man has been identified as the stabbing victim's husband.
No police were injured.
