Lansing police are investigating a burglary at the Woodcreek Achievement Center, a school on the city's southwest side.

Police tell us an employee showed up at 7 a.m. Wednesday to find a broken window and damage inside a classroom. The building was locked when the last employee left around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The burglar or burglars used a rock to break the window then tried to burn some paper towel inside a classroom. The fire did not spread if it even got going in the first place.

There is some damage to small rug in the room. Police have not made any arrests. Investigators would like to hear from anyone with information about the burglary.
