A two vehicle crash in Washtenaw County left one man dead.
Michigan State Police responded to the crash on Willis Road near Hitchingham Road in Augusta Township at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday September 12.
They say a 2003 Ford F-250 was eastbound on Willis Road and crossed into oncoming traffic colliding head on with a 2002 Ford F-250 traveling westbound.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was taken to the hospital, and later pronounced dead at the scene. Police have identified the victim as 24-year-old Derek Zywicki of Belleville.
The driver of the 2003 Ford F-250 was a 20-year-old and refused medical treatment at the scene. They were released while police investigate.
