Police are investigating a death that occurred in downtown Lansing.
They say they first got the call on Friday at 2am, and officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of S. Jones. Dispatch informed officers that a female caller from the residence said a man had broken into her house and was fighting with her husband.
When officers arrived the homeowners, a man and woman, had exited their house. Police say both had injuries on their body, and both indicated that a man had broken into their house with a weapon and confronted them. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
When officers entered the house they found an unresponsive man, they believe to be the intruder. They determined that he was dead. They didn't find anyone else in the home.
Lansing Police are investigating this death. They will update when more information is available.
