Lansing Police are investigating a woman who nearly drove her car into the Grand River Sunday evening.

They think she could have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol when it happened.

Police arrived on the scene around 7:30 Sunday night, near Malcolm X and Grand Avenue.

The car was stuck on an embankment leading to the river. Police think the driver put her car in reverse, then hit the gas, nearly landing in the river. Fortunately, the car didn't get past the embankment, and nobody was hurt.
