Authorities in western Michigan have identified a 33-year old mother who was killed in a hit-and-run crash that also injured her twin sons.
The Kent County Sheriff's office tells WOOD-TV that Meranda Baguss, of Sand Lake, was killed Friday when the driver of a pickup truck blew through a stop sign and struck her vehicle.
Police say her 5-year-old twins were critically injured in the 8:20 p.m. crash at a rural intersection in Courtland Township, near Grand Rapids.
Police were searching for the driver, who fled on foot, but had yet to announce an arrest.
The Kent County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to a message left Saturday afternoon by the Associated Press.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
