Police have identified the couple who were hit by a car while riding their tandem bicycle in rural Eaton County over the weekend.
Police say 65-year-old Shelly Pulliam and 66-year-old Richard Pulliam were riding their bike on Battle Creek Road near Cronk Highway around 3p.m. Saturday, when they were hit from behind by a car.
Shelly Pulliam was pronounced dead at the scene. Richard Pulliam was taken to Sparrow Hospital where he is in critical condition.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Office tells us they do not believe drugs, alcohol or speed are a factor in the crash.
