Police identify homicide victim found in motel room unresponsive

LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - Police have identified the woman found dead inside of a Lansing motel room Friday.

43-year-old Christina Daughenbaugh of Lansing was found unresponsive at America's Best Value Inn on the 1100 block of Ramada at 11:50 a.m.

Motel employees made the discovery and called police.

An autopsy ruled the victim’s cause of death as a homicide.

A 25-year-old Ohio man has been identified as a person of interest in the case.

He was taken into custody near South Bend, Indiana on unrelated charges.

Michigan State Police detectives are working with Indiana law enforcement on the homicide investigation.
