An armed and dangerous fugitive police have been looking for since Sunday has been found and is now in custody.

Eddie Rockwell Jr. was taken into custody around 4 a.m. Tuesday, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office said.

Rockwell was spotted night near the intersection of Columbia and Edgar roads late Monday.

That area was just south of the area where police focused a nearly 10-hour search on Sunday.

Police said in a Facebook post just before midnight Monday that Rockwell was confined in a grain barn near Columbia and Edgar roads and was completely surrounded by police.

Officers on the scene called in a negotiator to help get Rockwell to surrender peacefully.

The Ingham County Sheriff's Office says Rockwell was arrested about six hours after he was spotted Monday night.

The Ingham County Sheriff's Office says more information regarding Rockwell's capture will be released later Tuesday.
