JACKSON, Mich. — A body was found in the Grand River in Jackson Saturday morning by the Jackson County Sheriff department.
The sex of the body is unconfirmed. The remains are significantly decomposed.
The dive team was out around 8 am and cleared the area around 11 am on Saturday.
This discovery comes after a kayaker reported that he saw something in the water on Friday.
First responders, which included the dive team began their search just after 7:30 p.m.
The location of the search is just off of West Monroe Street.
