Meridian Township Police executed a search warrant in their ongoing investigation into an illegal marijuana dispensary.
The search was conducted Tuesday afternoon at a business located in the 4700 block of Okemos Road.
Police obtained their search warrant based on an ongoing investigation, which they say has been conducted for some time.
There are reports that evidence including records for sale and cash were seized.
Currently, Meridian has not enacted an ordinance to allow for the sale of marijuana in the community.
Fox 47 has been told that authorities received complaints about the business at that location.
Police insist the operation of illegal marijuana dispensaries in Meridian Township will be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
While no one has been arrested at this time, police are still processing evidence to determine any appropriate charges.
