The investigation of the armed robberies at the Brooklyn Party Shop and the Marathon Station on Page Avenue in Leoni Township has ended in the arrest of an 18-year-old male from Liberty Township.
Police located the suspect standing outside his residence in Liberty Township, he was preparing to leave. The vehicle used in the crimes was impounded from the suspect's residence, and he was taken into custody.
The weapon, a semi-automatic 9 mm pistol was also recovered. The suspect was taken to the Jackson County Jail where he was lodged on multiple counts from each agency related to the two armed robberies.

Police have released surveillance pictures and videos of an armed robbery suspect.
The Blackman-Leoni Township Department of Public Safety responded the Marathon gas station on Page Avenue just after 8p.m. Thursday night in Leoni Township for reports of an armed robbery.
Police say the lone suspect walked into the store, brandished a weapon and demanded cash. When it was not given to him, he left in a vehicle.
Several minutes later, the same suspect robbed a Citgo gas station located in the 100 block of South Main Street in Columbia Township.There the suspect walked into the store, showed and handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. No one was hurt in either incident.
The suspect is described as a 5'7' to 5'10" white male with black hair who weighs approximately 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the word NIKE written in black across the front of it.
