SARANAC, Mich. (WSYM) - Two people have been arrested after shooting marbles into Ionia and Barry County homes.
Ionia County Sheriff’s deputies and Michigan State Police were called to multiple homes in southern Ionia and northern Barry County on reports of Malicious Destruction of Property on April 11 and April 12.
Police say the suspects used a slingshot to shoot marbles into windows of homes.
A township deputy was able to identify a suspect from surveillance video.
A vehicle matching the description to the one in surveillance video was located at the suspect’s home in Saranac.
As police were searching the home, the suspect and two others attempted to leave the home.
Two suspects were arrested for Malicious Destruction of Property. The third suspect, a juvenile, was released to parents.
Charges are pending against the juvenile.
