Staff at one of Michigan's national treasures is reminding people to "leave no trace" when they visit--- after catching some visitors vandalizing an overlook platform.
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore posted a picture of the visitors carving their names into the wood beams.
Staff says not only is it illegal and unsightly, but carving names into structures, trees and cliffs can speed up the erosion process for natural objects.
The visitors were caught by park law enforcement and heavily fined.
