LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) — One of the people in a crash that involved a Meridian Township police cruiser has life threatening injuries.

It's an update to our exclusive story about Sunday's crash at the intersection of Marsh Road and Central Park Drive.

Mary Roering says her husband has fractured ribs, as well as shoulder and head injuries from that crash.

According to a crash report obtained by News 10, Meridian Township police officer Aaron McConahey was responding to a larceny call when he ran through a red light at the intersection, causing a 3-car accident.

Roering hopes she gets an apology from the department.

No one else was hurt in the crash.

The Meridian Township Police Department says the accident is currently under investigation

The department says Officer McConahey is still on duty.
