Many people have high blood pressure and don't have it under control.

Researchers surveyed more than 18 million people and found that nearly five million of them were not taking their blood pressure medications properly.

The rates were highest among African Americans, Hispanics, Alaska Natives, and American Indians which put them at higher risk for stroke, kidney disease and heart disease.
