One person is dead after a fatal car versus pedestrian crash early Monday morning on Waverly Road in Delta Township.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Office tells us a man was struck by a vehicle at 5:45 a.m. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The male driver who hit the victim was not hurt. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
Waverly Road is down to one lane in each direction. Investigators are still on scene. The road should be reopened completely within an hour or two.
