INGHAM COUNTY, Mich. (WSYM) - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing more than $2 million to repair concrete on 13 miles of southbound US-127 from I-69 to I-496 and on eastbound I-69 BL (West Saginaw Street) between US-127 and the Ingham/Clinton county line.
Southbound US-127 will be completely closed from Grand River Avenue to I-496, including the southbound US-127 ramp to westbound I-496. The detour route will have drivers exit US-127 at Grand River Avenue, then take southbound Howard Street to the next available on ramp. In addition, eastbound Saginaw Street will have single-lane closures. The work starts this morning and should be completed around noon on Sunday August 5th.
This is the first phase of work planned for several weekends. Drivers are advised to take alternate routes.
