The search continues for the armed man who robbed a woman outside the Meijer store on W. Saginaw Highway in Delta Township.
It happened Friday March 18th, around 9 p.m. in the parking lot in the front of the store. Witnesses posted on Facebook they saw the man try to force the woman to drive him somewhere. Witnesses called 911. Eaton County Sheriff Deputies say the suspect ran off with some cash from the victim. She was not hurt.
The suspect is white, in the 20 or 30 age range. He has short dark hair. He was wearing a gray coat with a white checkered shirt and khaki pants. If you know who he is, call the Eaton County Sheriff's office Detective Rick Buxton at (517) 323-8484.
Safety tips when walking to and from your car in store parking lots:
*Be alert. If you notice someone following you, return to the store.
*Do not talk on your cell phone while walking to and from the car, phones can cause you to be distracted.
* Have your keys in your hand.
*Your purse should be across or close to your body.
* If you feel uncomfortable walking to your car, ask store security to escort you.
*If you have driven off, but think someone is still following you, drive to the nearest police station. Do not lead the person to your home.
