Owner of Magnuson Hotel suing the city of Lansing, Homeless Angels

Posted

Alvin Peh, the owner of the Magnuson Hotel, has filed a lawsuit against the city of Lansing and the Homeless Angels.

Peh is claiming the city violated his constitutional rights forcing his hotel to operate as a homeless shelter without compensation.

His attorney says the Magnuson is not a homeless shelter, but a for-profit hotel.

The city of Lansing has been working to find places for the homeless people to live and say there are only 35 people remaining at the hotel.

They have until October 28th to be out.
