Sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday morning for the owner of a Lansing party bus company.

Christopher Staggs was found guilty by a jury last month on a misdemeanor charge of not having insurance on a motor vehicle.

Staggs came under fire in October of 2017, when a group of MSU students got stranded after two buses booked through 'Lansingparty.com' were pulled over during a trip to an apple orchard near St. Johns. Staggs was initially charged with four misdemeanor counts of not having insurance, but the charges were later dropped and replaced with civil infractions.

Staggs is scheduled to be sentenced in Clinton County District County at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
