After a record setting power outage, many places remain without it including Jackson, Michigan where Governor Rick Snyder met with Consumers Energy's Senior Vice President.
"People are concerned about getting their power back on, and if we can reassure them how hard they're working, they're working diligently to move ahead and get power back on as quickly as possible. Hopefully it gives us all a great sense of how Michiganders help one another during crisis times," Snyder said.
DTE and Consumers Energy said 277,000 customers are without power statewide, but they have people from all over helping out.
While you wait, they want to reiterate safety and how important it is to look out for one another.
"One of the other concerned areas we come back to is: Check on seniors or vulnerable people that may not have power that need help. Call 2-1-1. Be a good neighbor. See how you can help them out. Because with the temperature getting this much colder, we don't want to see anybody in conditions that are dangerous for them,"Snyder added.
