Ski resorts around northern lower Michigan are celebrating after 4 to 10 inches of snow fell between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

We checked the websites of several ski areas, including Boyne Mountain, Nub's Nob and Crystal Mountain--- all of which say they've received several inches of fresh snow, providing a good base for their ski runs.

Other ski areas further south, like Mount Brighton and Pine Knob Ski & Snowboard resort are still closed, but are pumping out snow with the help of the cold temperatures and snow guns.
