Some families in Southern Michigan are still in the dark this morning, after Monday's mix of wintry weather and high winds left 26,000 homes across Michigan without power. Many of Michigan's southern counties were hit hardest.
Consumers Energy tells us that there are 1,170 customers without power in Hillsdale County and 230 customers without power in Branch County.
Crews are working on power lines throughout the night. The goal is to get the lights back on by no later than 4 p.m. today.
