LANSING, Mich. — In November, the Downtown Lansing Inc. Organization Committee hosted the 10th annual Downtown Lansing Food Fight, a competitive food drive benefiting the Greater Lansing Food Bank. Loomis Law Firm won the Golden Can Trophy for collecting the most food and monetary donations per team member, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan won the Heavyweight Award for collecting the most pounds of food. DLI recently visited the Loomis Law Firm office to present the team with the trophy. Thanks for your work in providing meals to local families in need.
This year, a total of 6,875 pounds of food and $3,861 were collected during the Food Fight. This provided more than 40,000 meals for local families in need.
Over the past ten years, the Downtown Food Fight has collected more than $26,000 in monetary donations and nearly 50,000 pounds of food for the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
