A local organization bringing some holiday cheer to Mid-Michigan seniors on Thursday.
The Tri-County Triad of Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties delivered care packages to people who might otherwise go without this holiday season.
As part of No Senior Without Christmas, the organization filled 350 boxes with household supplies, food and holiday gifts.
"Our elder community truly is our greatest generation. They've given us a star. Why are we all where we're at? It's because of them, and we have them to thank, and many of them are living independently below poverty level," said Traci Ruiz, a Tri-County Triad member.
Each box was delivered by a uniformed law enforcement officer or firefighter.
