BATH TWP., Mich. — Residents in Bath Township may have noticed orange bows showing up around town.
That's because the group, "Orange Justice" started putting up those bows as a way to bring awareness to hunter safety.
They're also serve as a way to remember Chong Moua Yang who was shot while deer hunting last year.
68-year-old Yang was shot, and had his gun and backpack taken at the Rose Lake State Game Area on Nov. 16, 2018.
Even today, his family has no leads on his death.
Two men were seen in footage from trail cameras from around the area where he was killed in Bath.
After Bath Police posted the images to their Facebook page asking for help identifying them, one of the men reached out to police and the other was identified by family members.
The men are not suspects but were being sought to find out if they had any information that might be useful to the investigation.
"I was pretty surprised how quickly they reached out to our department and were identified. But, with the outreach we have, social media, you know, that's been a great tool for us," said Bath Township Police officer Avery Lyon.
Police aren't releasing information about the individuals, but say they either came forward or were identified by someone who saw the post.
For the Yang's, it's a small step in the right direction and a glimmer of hope.
"It feels good. It's been a cold winter few days here and to have a ray of hope and a ray of sunshine on this case helps us feel better about ourselves and feel better that we are getting a step closer to finding out the individual or individuals who did this," said Joseph Yang, the hunter's cousin.
Police have not released any details about the conversation.
There is a reward of nearly $15,000 for information that helps police find Yang's killer.
Anyone with information should call the department at (517) 641-6271.
