LANSING, Mich. — As talks continue at the State Capitol on how to fix the state's roads, one group is trying to impeach Governor Whitmer.

The group has started a petition under Care2 Petitions online.

The website says its by Rhein Krigner.

Krigner writes on the site: "This Governor ran for office under a false platform to fix the roads and not to raise gas taxes and in her first budget she proposed the highest gas tax of $.45 a gallon. The proposed taxes on small business will be the end of the long road to the economic recovery we were experiencing. Michigan cannot go through another economic recession and loss of jobs because of companies moving to another State."

It shows 23,492 supporters so far.

The site, Care2, claims that their promise is to be the world’s largest community for good; where you’ll find over 45 million like-minded people working towards progress, kindness, and lasting impact."
