One dead in weekend crash

WILLIAMSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The driver killed in a weekend crash in Ingham County has been identified as a Western Michigan University student.

20-year-old James Stewart of Saginaw, was driving Saturday around 8:40 a.m. Saturday when his car collided with another vehicle on Grand River Avenue near Meridian Road in Williamstown Township.

Stewart died at the scene. The condition of the other driver involved in the accident has not been released. The Meridian Township Police Department did not release information about what caused the crash.
