Olivet College Announces the Election of Pamela Heos to its Board of Trustees

OLIVET, Mich. — Recently, Pamela Heos ’77 was elected to the Olivet College Board of Trustees after serving on the board as an ex officio member for several years. Heos is committed to helping Olivet College provide a successful educational experience for all students.

“I am very pleased that Pamela Heos has been elected as a trustee,” President Steven M. Corey, Ph.D., said. “At Olivet College, we are fortunate to have dedicated alumni and friends of the College who are strongly committed to the institution and its mission. These individuals will play a tremendous role in helping lead Olivet College toward its future goals. I thank Pam for contributing her time and talent to the advancement of the College.”

Heos is also a member of Olivet College’s 175th Commemoration Committee and chair of the Olivet College Alumni Association Board, a role in which she will fulfill through May 2019. Heos has served on the Alumni Association Board almost continuously for 33 years, the last six as its chair. She has provided leadership and energy in the work of alumni engagement for Olivet College, ensuring a vibrant and active alumni base and a strategic and engaged Alumni Association Board. Under her leadership, the Alumni Association Board has developed a strategic plan that will help establish alumni affinity groups, a vibrant class captain program, mentoring connections and many other programs and initiatives that will provide value to the alumni and college community. Through her involvement with the Alumni Association Board, Heos served as an ex officio member of the Olivet College Board of Trustees since May 2014.

Heos has worked as director of alumni and donor relations for Thomas M. Cooley Law School since 2005. Previously, she was a major gift officer for Olivet College.
Heos began her professional career as the docent and volunteer coordinator for the Indianapolis Museum of Art and as assistant to the director for the Indianapolis Art Center. Later, Heos was a commercial interior designer for 17 years for Richardson, Munson & Weir Architects.
