OKEMOS, Mich. — Dhruv Ganguly, of Okemos Schools, is going to be a freshman this coming school year and has won a national-level essay contest.
Ganguly plays tennis and swims at the Michigan Athletic Club, loves to play the violin and takes gymnastics lessons, his mother Amy said.
Ganguly was awarded as the "Special Slam National Winner" from the Kids Philosophy Slam on June 12.
The Kids Philosophy Slam received over 4,000 entries, picking Ganguly as the winner.
Ganguly's essay was titled "Hate or Love: which has a greater impact on society?"
