Officer shooting suspect in prison after hospitalization

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The man accused of shooting a Saginaw Township police officer in the face has been released from the hospital and is now in prison.

FOX 47 News has the new mugshot of Joshua Rosebush, who was shot in the face by the detective.

It came after an 11-hour manhunt that ended Mid-Michigan.

The 29-year-old is accused of shooting Saginaw Township Police officer Jeff Koenig early Tuesday morning.

According to the Michigan Department of Corrections records state that he is now back in prison for an alleged parole violation.

Koenig underwent a two-hour surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center to clean out the gunshot wound in his jaw.

Koenig will undergo several reconstructive surgeries to repair serious injuries to his jaw once the swelling goes down.

The fundraising account created to help pay for the officer's medical bills is now up to more than $160,000.
