The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down Sunday night in Barry County.

NWS officials say the tornado touched down around 6:25 p.m.

The agency issued a brief tornado around that time Sunday for parts of Barry and Eaton Counties.

The tornado was on the ground for only three minutes between Dowling and Maple Grove Township, the NWS said.

No one was hurt but the NWS says three barns on one farm were damaged.

The National Weather Service says the tornado's top winds were estimated around 75 to 80 miles per hour.
