BLACKMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Northwest Community Schools near Jackson say they will be closed Thursday due to social media threats.
The school posted the announcement on its Facebook page Wednesday evening.
The school said the posts are being investigated by local authorities.
Preschool and childcare will also be closed Thursday, according to the post. The district said it was evaluating whether or not extracurricular activities planned for Thursday afternoon and evening would still take place.
Another update is expected Thursday from the district.
