The investigation into actions of a former Northwest Community Schools bus driver is now in the hands of the Jackson County Prosecutor.
Blackman-Leoni Public Safety Director Mike Jester confirmed with FOX 47 the investigation was turned over to prosecutors earlier this week.
The investigation stems from parent complaints to the district and police about children saying they were punished by the driver for misbehaving by driving around on the bus with the heat on last week.
In a letter released Sunday, Superintendent Geoff Bontrager said the bus driver would no longer drive for the district.
The letter also said the heat on the bus was never turned on and windows were open at all times.
FOX 47 will let you know if criminal charges are filed against the bus driver.
