Night Lights parade in Grand Ledge on Friday

The Grand Ledge community can officially kick off the holidays after the Night Lights parade hits the street Friday night.

The 47th annual parade begins at 7 p.m.and has more than 60 entries that will be full of twinkling lights.

It starts at the Grand Ledge Fire Barn and makes its way down Bridge Street.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the parade riding on a red fire truck. Kids can visit with them at the Sun Theater. "Shrek The Halls" will also be playing at the theater for families to enjoy.

The downtown Christmas tree will be lit up at 6:45 p.m. by Mayor Thom Soule.
