A new treatment may melt away cancer.

Researchers at the American Association for Cancer Research revealed a new immunotherapy treatment which boosts the immune system to attack cancer cells.

Lung cancer patients given both immunotherapy and chemo were 51-percent less likely to die.

A second study found only on out of 20 people died when given the treatment before surgery. Surgeons who open the patients say they see the tumors melting away.

Researchers say long term studies need to be done to see whether or not the cancer comes back.
