New study links symptoms of ADHD with screen time

Posted

There's evidence showing teenagers who spend a lot of time staring at a screen are more likely to develop ADHD.

A new study looked at social media, texting, streaming music and reading content online. Almost 11% of kids who reported heavy use later had significant symptoms of ADHD. That's compared to less than 5% of kids who didn't use digital media.

Experts say they need to do more research to decide if there's a direct link.
