You may see some brand new Michigan State Police patrol cruisers out on the road today.
In honor of the department's 100th anniversary, they ordered 50 new black and gold patrol cars.
The 2016 Dodge Chargers are painted to resemble the department's iconic 1937 Ford Model 74 patrol car.
The MSP used the black and gold cars until 1954 when the commissioner changed the colors to blue.
Each of the MSP's 30 posts will receive at least one new car.
