New Hot Wheels exhibit at Impression 5 in Lansing

Posted

Calling kids of all ages! Start your engines! Hot Wheels are now on display at Impression 5 Science Center in downtown Lansing.

The new traveling exhibit is called "Race To Win" and will open to the public tomorrow.

The 4,500 square foot exhibit is pretty cool for kids and will help them understand the science of racing. It includes a pit stop challenge where kids can change tires, and fill up a fuel tank on a race car. There is also a Formula 1 racing simulator where children can see what it feels like to be in a race car, along with archives from actual race cars.

And who could forget about Hot Wheels?

There are Hot Wheels tracks set up across the exhibit to race cars on.

This is the first time the exhibit has made a stop in Michigan and Lansing city officials are hoping it brings in a lot of traffic to the downtown area.

Impression 5 is renting the exhibit from The Children's Museum in Indianapolis.

Impression 5 told us, community partners including MSU Federal Credit Union and Applebee's stepped in to help pay to rent the "Race To Win" exhibit for the next four months.

There is no additional admission cost to check out the exhibit. It will be at Impression 5 until January 6, 2017. Impression 5 Science Center is located at 200 Museum Drive in Lansing. For more information: impression5.org
