There's a new attempt to get rid of Michigan's Pension Tax, but this time it's Republicans who want it repealed.

Governor Rick Snyder signed the tax on public pensions into law as part of his budget balancing plan in 2011. State Representative Tom Barrett and State Senator Rick Jones have introduced repeal bills in their respective chambers.

The two Eaton County Republicans say it was unfair to blind-side people with a new tax after they had started planning for retirement.
